Serving over 2300 people last year, and helping another 4000 people find the right resource, Legal Aid's mission is to be a source of legal advice, representation and education in our community, so that everyone will have access to justice. Legal Aid provides legal assistance on health care issues, domestic violence, family law, government benefits, disability issues, and small business development. Housing-related programs include HomeSavers, which helps tenants who are having problems with their landlords, and HomeBuilders, which works to promote the development of more affordable housing. |

| Small Claims Mediation Program This program provides on-site mediation services. If a case settles in mediation, the court will not proceed with the small claims hearing, but rather will note in the court file that the parties reached a mediated settlement. |
